Saving
Sight

A fundraiser for eye-treatment equipment, helping those who've lost their vision due to war.

We’re raising $1,500,000 for 6 sets of ophthalmic surgery items for sight recovery.

Imagine

Everything you hold dear: family, loved ones, home.
Every sunrise, every sunset, and every beautiful sight you witness between them.

Now, imagine you can never see these things again. This is the reality for thousands of Ukrainians who have lost this opportunity because of war.

The number of new vision loss cases among both military and civilians has risen drastically since the start of the full-scale invasion. Blast trauma caused by bombardments, artillery fire, mine explosions and other factors can take away one of the most important senses, impairing a person’s quality of life forever.

BUT YOU CAN HELP THESE PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THE WORLD’S BEAUTY AGAIN.

Visual impairment

It isn’t always permanent and often can be treated if addressed promptly.
The success rate of eye surgery procedures highly depends on the quality and functionality range of the ophthalmic equipment available.

Many medical facilities don’t have everything they need to treat severe injuries — especially those near the frontline where it’s needed most. Timely aid is crucial: the sooner a patient is given aid, the higher chance they have at recovery.

We’re raising funds for 6 advanced sets of ophthalmic surgery equipment to increase these chances and give hope to those who have already lost it.

Each set includes 3 components that work together:

Vitrectomy equipment with integrated laser

Ophthalmic surgery microscope

Video system for microscope

In a nutshell

These systems are a surgeon’s eye and hand at once.

The apparatus can illuminate the injured area and magnify images, detect and remove debris, stop internal bleeding, and suture tissues without damaging them using lasers.

Corneal surgeries and lens implantation become possible thanks to a high-precision microscope. Removing fragments and further restoring retina — thanks to a vitrectomy system.

All combined, the components significantly increase the chances of sight recovery even in the most severe cases. Cases otherwise considered hopeless.

Quality of life can be restored alongside vision

Most Ukrainians who lost their vision don’t lose their spirit and persevere through these new challenges. But what if they also had a chance to see again?

With this kind of equipment, some of the old trauma can be treated, offering people a new beginning.

Together, we can help  people who have lost their sight by giving them a hope of recovery

To once again see their loved ones, their home and their land — in all of its breathtaking beauty.
Let’s help save their sight!
